The Library

The pride of Brenda's collection, this Library was built into an antique Book Press by George Clough, one of our customer/friends who found it in a very dilapidated state - broken and covered in paint and ink - when helping to clear a friend's cellar. Having lovingly restored it, he set about creating the sumptuous room-box setting. The side walls have false cavities, back lit so that the light comes in through the window and the door to the side passage on the right. The rather deaf gentleman at his desk is a retired University Don (Professor C. Ambridge). He spends more time than he should in here, researching his treatise on pipe smoking in the late 20th Century, and is rather tetchy at being disturbed by his wife. She is pretending to search for a book to disguise the fact that she can't remember why she came in here in the first place.
Brenda's ambition is to eventually replace all the faux books with the real thing - she already has 20 - only another 980 to go!
